Well.
I got home from a week in Canberra today.
For those who don't know, I lived there before I Was sentenced to live in this hell hole.
We spent our time shopping and hanging and stuff and it was wonderful!
SUNDAY: Listened to Hottest 100 countdown all the way there. Had dinner with my Grandparents in Sydney. Nana even said I looked nice. Family singalong to Bohemian Rhapsody by QUEEN. Got angry at the sheer AMOUNT of Jeff Buckley songs in the countdown. Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine made up for it. Grandpa looked a lot better, I don't know if he is though. Got to Carolyn's place at 11:30pm and watched South Park and text-ed till 4am!
MONDAY: Hung out at ANU, and found a combined International Relations/Visual Arts degree, so I'm now seriously considering doing it (if i get the right UAI!) then went QUESTACON!!! and got sucked into doing a really long survey at the National Library. They have yummy cupcakes.
TUESDAY: Went shopping at Canberra Centre and got 2 CDs (Something with Numbers and Regina Spektor) and a book called How I Live Now, browsed at Belconnen and tried on some TRUELY beautiful dresses, ALL of which i managed to make look dreadful. Dragged our gear to the Gee residence and had fish and chips for dinner.
WEDNESDAY: Saw Harry Potter 6, IT WAS GREAT! =D Then hung at Intensity (an arcade) for a bit and played Dance Dance Revolution for $1!!! Played Wii Super Mario Kart and now want one =P. Chaser was HILARIOUS but they only have two shows left....=(!!!
THURSDAY: Mum ditched us to go skiing, so we hung with the boys and played Wii and went to the park to play soccer for a bit.
FRIDAY: Shopping at Belconnen while the boys were at Intensity, bought another 2 CDs (Hilltop Hoods and Little Birdy) and kicked Mini's ass at air hockey! Visited Canberra Uni but wasn't very impressed with it. Then went to hang with Maddy which was awesome!! We talked and watched Rad Dwarf and Black Books!! It was great to see that even though we hadn't seen each other for four years we were still friends!! Hung out with the boys and played cluedo after dinner and talked with mum for a bit in bed. Started reading How I Live Now.
SATURDAY: Got up, packed, left, finished reading How I Live Now, it was great Came home and got in a fight with mum. Went to Mai-well debate with Prillz which was awesome and met Mikey Robbins and Jean Kittson and got autographs, photos and a pic with their limo! Such a great night, ruined by mum's bitchiness when we got home.
I forgot how much I miss Canberra and now feel totally shit. At least we're off to Crescent's Head tomorrow so I won't be here for long. :)
Looking forward to snow trip first week back and WOULD feel good about Pat's party if it didn't mean missing SWN at Panthers!!! *GRR*

Twas a LOVELY Day...
Today was wonderful for many reasons:
- Was allowed to go to Newcastle.
- Managed to find all clothes for my desired outfit (for once).
- Didn't forget anything.
- Had a nice bus driver.
- Bus was on time.
- Everyone managed to catch afore mentioned bus without drama.
- The Newcastle Permanent lady didn't charge me for my replacement bank card (which i "misplaced") even though she should have.
- Had a wonderful breakfast at Brioche, with my truly wonderful friends.
- Saw truly wonderful pancakes. (picture up soon!)
- Saw Lachlan and Rohan mainlining artificial sweetener.
- Breakfast was rather cheap.
- Even though SOMEONE (*cough cough* Rohan!) made us miss our train and we had to wait AN HOUR for the next one, we had a lovely conversation regarding children's television shows.
- Train ride was all good and such.
- Almost stole a couch.
- Went to Muscos.
- Got a mini tamborine.
- Only paid $5 for it even though it cost $6.
- Found Old Record Heaven (one of Newcastle's 2nd hand bookshops).
- Bought a Romeo and Juliet manga comic!
- Bought FABULOUS records, such as: Hooked on Swing, Disco Motion, Sleeping Beauty (Classical), Bette Midler's Greatest Hits, Summer Mover, Hooked on Swing, Cabaret and FEVER by PEGGY LEE!!! (60's ep!!!)
- All that only cost $17!
- Aprill and Roro made quite a scene at the comic shop...
- They played Micheal Jackson at KFC
- I got a really cute purse from Ritzy's
- It was really cheap! AND from the 50s!
- Got ice cream at the Train Station and ate it while we did Dolly quizzes in the park.
- Caught (the wrong) train on time.
- Realised we were ON the wrong train IN time.
- Were able to catch the right train when we got to Maitland.
- Felt super-intelligent sitting near the bogans on the (right) train.
- Got to train station alive.
- Didn't have to wait for Marny To pick us up.
- Remembered my house key!
- Made yummy pasta and tea for dinner.
- Ate yummy pasta and tea while watching Chaser DVDs, reading my Romeo and Juliet manga and then listening to Disco Motion while playing FB Scrabble.
- Grandpa is getting better.
- Everyone had a great day!!!
- I was actually happy today.
ERGO: A truly FABULOUS day!
